The deck depth for the XL and HD models is 5", and the spindles are not serviceable. Thanks, and let us know if you have other questions.

Would you be able to tell me what the deck depth is for both the XL and HD models? And also are the Spindles servicable on them or not?

      Thank you.

Part 2 - The Raptor has nice features for a consumer. Comparing Gravely to Hustler there are a few differences. Hustler's frame is composed of frame rails bolted together while Gravely has fully welded steel frames. All three use premium Kawasaki engines, and Gravely provides a higher hp. Gravely has a taller back seat for comfort and a foot operated deck lift system which allows you to control the deck with minimal effort. In bumpy areas, you can feather it with your foot as needed. Both Gravely models are covered by a full 3 year manufacturer warranty which covers labor and parts with an additional 2 years on parts. Our decks and frames are covered by a 5 year warranty. Hustler carries a 3 year warranty - 2 years covering parts and labor and the third year covering parts.

Hope these 2 messages help you, and please let me know if you have questions.

Thanks for your interest in Gravely

There are many benefits that provide value between a ZT & XL. The XL has a fully tubular frame vs. a c-channel on the ZT to provide extra strength and rigidity. The frame has a wider footprint for better hill holding capabilities. The XL has larger rear tires which helps on hills and provides a smoother ride. The XL has a 10-gauge fabricated deck for strength to the deck. A wear bar on the front and trim edge of the deck adds strength. The XL uses aluminum spindle housings vs. steel in the ZT. Both spindles are very good, and we see minimal failure. Aluminum is a little better in dissipating heat. The XL has a flip up floor pan for easy access to the top of your mower deck for routine maintenance and cleaning. The XL uses a higher back seat and armrests than the ZT to enhance comfort. Both seats are adjustable forward and back. The XL has an hour meter to monitor time and maintenance. Regular maintenance will contribute to the life expectancy.
