Best advice I can give you is to research and research. I did a ton of researching before I did my first one and to be honest, I learned the most from actually doing one. I haven't done a ton and have a ton yet to learn about them. I learn something new everytime I build one but I love doing them. My advice would be to try to do one at your own personal house before you do one at a customers house, or try participating at local "build-a-ponds"...not saying the people who put those on know all there is to know about them, but you can still experience a lot of hands on learning compared to sitting behind a computer screen. Good luck hope I helped some.

I just have the velocity deck, no stripe kit. I typically mow 3 1/2" or 3 3/4". I alternate patterns, usually sticking to two patterns. One week I mow a certain direction, then the next week a different direction. Then the third week I mow the same as the first week and on and on. Also when taking pictures make sure the sun is behind you when taking the picture, it helps the stripes stand out more.

hey pitrack I was needing some advise on my stripes. I have a wildcat with 52" velocity plus deck with a scag striping kit and looks no where as good as your stripes. Please provide some details on your setup mowing height, deck setup etc.

      Thanks in advance!!!

Actually it usually stripes better when the lawns are on the shorter side 3 1/2"-3 3/4". Just try alternating patterns between two different ones. Mow one way one week, another way the next week then back to the first way the third week.

Great jobs on the striping! That being said, how are you getting those stripes? Is it a combination of healthy lawns cut taller or what? Thanks for any info

We did buy a Pace, but not a Summit, it's a Cargo Sport. We are very happy with it, and would never want to go back to an open trailer. Let me know if you have any other questions, I remember all the questions I had. Good luck with it.

Actually it is only a level kit installed on the front. So the front is about 2" taller than stock height, plus the 35" tires. That is the mount that came with my plow, I am not sure why some guys get them longer like mine, and some get the shorter plates on the sides.

      Hey there,

Just curious if that is a 6" lift you have on your ram. I have the same truck with a 6 inch lift that I want to put a plow on and didnt know if I can cause of the lift. If yours is lifted it the mount custom?
