Let me know where you are (prefered dealer(s)) and I'll get the ball rolling on getting a demo unit there ASAP. My E-mail is DrewC@billygoat.com as I'm about to lose internet for a week bowhunting for elk in Colorado. I'll have some E-mail access though via my phone so I can still get it done if you E-mail me.

I have tried both the A ( for the dry and short grass ) and the C for the taller and wet conditions. I also have just started folding up the rubber shoot instead of it being down. I have never had to double cut my yards. For the last eight years I have used the John Deere with the 60 inch deck. I have not had the clumping issue in the same conditions or not had to clean out the deck.

How do I like it....other than the clumping and the underside of the deck.....well like I said I've use the 60 inch John Deere for the last eight years. My new 925A has just been sitting, unless I need both running. I have found that I can cover more ground even with the smaller deck on the Grandstand than I can with the JD because of the operator platform on the Grandstand. My lower back is not getting crap pounded out of it by sitting down. So I really love it, I've even thought of trading my new 925A for the 60 inch Grandstand.

Any products out there to reduce the collection under the deck?

sounds like you have the shoot partly closed... look by where the grass exits the mower... there should be 3 letters with a "lever" there letters are A,B,C mine is set on C, B is for Bag... A I dont know, play with that lever to give the baffle a bigger opening which will conserve power by discharging a lot more, when the grass is dry and short you can close the baffle off more making smaller particles come out... depending on how tall the grass is your mowing its gonna clump, but my yards are under control now so when it rains, I just double cut and usually does a great job...I cut one when the grass was no lie 16-24inches ... went over it in one direction twice then switched to another which made it 3 times and it didnt even have clumps in the yard...

Mine does the whole stop blades and then bam you gotta rake the crap up, but my lazer z, snapper, metro did that and my new to me bobcat does that too so not really worried about it, I usually double cut when its really wet and the turbo force deck is great in the wet stuff just my opinion... I heard scag has the best deck for the wet grass...

let me know if you have more questions... oh, how do you like the mower? I put the stripe kit on and it does a fantastic job... pricey but worth every penny from the feed back ive gotten

I have a grass gobbler, it worked ok but I will be investing in the extension for it which will be a lot better. I do not bag grass but I heard with the extension it bags really well, with the cloth bag though I heard its easier to lift but does not hold so much

The Grandstand is awesome... the 2010 models have different things like updated ball joints, cables, lift assit etc. I have demoed the 60" 26hp and really enjoyed it. My Grandstand has been updated as in ball joints and what I mentioned above. The though I dont really like. Sometimes I have my mower at half throttle doing different things. The new update is halfway down and the engine is full board. Dont really like that feature. there is option for a mulch kit, blades. the high rise blades they make for the mower make the mower stripe even better without the stripe kit. Somewhere I have pictures of the 60" stripes without a stripe kit on it and it does a very nice job. My dealer has not been able to order me a striping kit so I made on myself out of a semi mud flap. Right before the season I'll get the stripe kit on it.

They are a great machine and highly recommend it anyday.
