To all my friends here on lawnsite,
I hope that 2013 brings everyone health, wealth and a safe new year. This winter the Denver metro-area has had very little snow, so I am looking forward to getting the mowing season started. Our last youngster is getting ready to graduate high-school and looking forward to going to college (he wants to become an Astro-Physicist). I have considered expanding my clientele base some but not sure I want to do that yet.
I kind of wondered what all you guys and gals have in store for the New Year?
I am hoping that by the next mowing season it will be clear where our economy will be headed. There are so many issues that affect the way we are able to run things and I am less of a risk taker than most. I refuse to go in debt for any Biz. needs. So my goals are up in the air right now. I was just wondering what some of your thoughts are?
Good luck, David of J&D Greens

Hey its going good we have a ton of work this year and its starting to get to the point where we might stop taking on work. Right now I got a scag turf tiger and two snapper 48 hydro walk behinds going and two crews and I added a bunch of handhelds stuff. My deere walk behind burnt up the ignition wires so now fun there. But considering last year I worked by myself one day a week i will say things are pretty good lol. Hows it going with you guys??

Hey, I was actually at lost mountain today and they had some used mowers and a couple of demo echo machines there. Its a good time to go because they are kinda slow and they have time to talk and all. Also I was wondering how much u charge to detail vehicles or if you even do that for other people. j/w.

Hi, my name is David. I started my business 4 years ago. Did it part time for the first three season along side my full-time job. I decided to retire from the job after 31 years, so I could pursue mowing full-time. I am so stoked to do this and look forward to hearing about your successes and to share with you some of my stories. I loved to do this kind of work when I was a kid. I was lucky to have the experience of working for a Japanese gardener every summer break full-time 5-days a week and sometimes 6 days for clean-up work. It was the best experience a kid could have (at least I think so). Look forward to talking to you, later David
