Ya going good... I got the town of turner bid which has 27 different places some as small as a 10x10 island at intersections to cemeteries to ball fields. The hardest part for me right now is that i am solo and have all those places to do spring clean up plus others and before i barely had gotten a chance to get started the grass was ready to mow! Seems like it came quick this year! Not only that it looks like who ever had the bid last year stopped doing anything when the leaves started falling. so now they are inches thick plus of wet leaves and crap with 4-5 inches of grass growing through and around it. I am trying to mulch most of it now to save on clean up time instead of raking. I have two daycare's a vacant daycare lot and a few residential. I will try for more mow accounts as the cleanups get done then i will know how much free time i have... I had to do two places this morning. Over all do good though! Thanks

Pat, sounds like things are going good for you with 4 baseball fields already - hope you make good money.

WOW great. I am doing mostly just lawn care clean ups and plowing for now and run solo. I am in the Turner Lewiston Auburn area. Prob a lot more customers with money in your area. I am just starting this as a full time business this year any suggestions? Always open for new ideas esp for getting new customers and estimating and such. Well good luck this year.

I don't think you can search for members by the state they are in....I just keep my eyes open when I'm reading threads and add someone to my friends if I see they are from Maine...

I can't send you a private message until you have like 10 posts on the site or something like that, but the best advertising that I have found was local stuff. Like a poster and business cards at local hot spots like summer ice cream or take out places, a add in a small weekly paper, or a nice professional ad posted at small local store cork boards.

      Hey bud,
I saw that you are just starting up over in Turner area. This summer will be my 5th year in business and i've learned a LOT each year. I used to spend quite a bit of time over around your area when I was in high school - now I'm over near the coast near Bar Harbor area. Gimme a call anytime you have ANY questions and I'll help you out. I got a few mowers for sale this spring but no riders - all walk behinds with sulkies to stand on. Good Luck and stay in touch!! I have a lot of free time right now. =D
