as far as discounts go, it is not really that much of an issue. There are great deals everywhere and you dont have to buy like a HD to get them. Our strategy is to get a cost material+shipping and then mark it up a percentage across the board. Retail customers will always bargain hunt and you cannot compete with a HD on price so you have to give them a reason to shop there other than price. We use atmosphere unique material and experinced sales staff to accomplish this.
