The green wire should run to a ground usually but, I would check to make sure the engine is grounded first. Then the red wire to ground, then check the battery and then start tracing back till you find were you are loosing the 12volts. Quick check run a jumper from the pos cable on the battery to the red wire on the solenoid and see if it clicks or starts but don't leave the jumper hooked after you test .
