This is becoming a very popular method of residential solicitation again.
With the telephone out of play, companies can not call as in the past. You may have read in Landscape Management Magazine (I think) about the numbers of companies going back to cold call door to door selling. A result by Tru-Green was in the thousands of new accounts going door to door. I realize none of us are that size, but if it works for them, it will work for us in a smaller scale.
Keep up the hard work. Selling is not easy in any form. Best thing is to role play with someone prior to going out and just knocking the door not being prepared. Always remember, Value sell - not cost sell your service!
