Best source for paper I've found is www.stratografix.com
- I use the 20lb CAD bond for all but rendered plans. It works out to less than $10 a roll, if I remember right. I usually buy my ink from www.thecadstore.com
- they're a hair cheaper than hp, and I can't justify putting any other mfr's ink in a $10K plotter.
Like Kirk said, you need to be really careful with pdfs. There's usually just enough distortion to throw you off, even if you've done everything right. If I'm sending a pdf to someone, I try to dimension everything relevant right on the plan and include my "warning block" that says "not for construction/ scale drawing at your own risk."
@ Kirk- so I take it you finally found someone local? That's awesome- you might almost have enough free time to catch a breath now!
