In the past 3 years my gross sales have dropped 25%, but my salary has almost doubled from my business. I have cut way back on employees and concentrated on effeciency and profit making jobs. My gross did start to creep up again this year, but not with increased payroll. It is a ego stroke to hit the "big" gross numbers, but also can be a serious threat to cash flow. It takes big money to make big money.
