Good luck Ken. Algae and lighting go hand in hand. Water, Heat and Light are the conditions that makes Algae bloom, so just by introducing underwater lights into a natural pond you are setting yourself up for a lot of maintenance.

I really try to avoid underwater lighting unless the fixtures are being installed into a treated water feature. In a natural pond you will need to clean the fixtures every two weeks or so.
