Right, anything can be torn up. However, I would think having just front brakes is a recipe for disaster for a lot of homeowners and the many bone heads you see driving Mowers. Are there exceptions to the rule? Sure. Lots of careful operators out there. The manufacturers have to try to make a machine that is both reliable and relatively easy to operate for operators of all experience levels.
