The 6.2 diesel was never introduced on a power factor like todays diesels but were offered on a power / fuel economy factor to compete with similar power gas vehicles. The 350 diesel was based on the 350 Olds engine if memory serves correctly...and they were junk for the most part. If fuel wasnt filtered properly and regular maintenance carried out then the injectors or pump would stick or something and the engine would hydraulic lock. Dont quote me on that haha.
