Dude must have used 2 or 3 tubes. The amazing part is that he actually got a good enough seal to draw from the well.
The check valve was bad so it wouldn't hold a prime, never mind that one should never ever mount a PVC check horizontally. Replaced it with a brass check mounted horizontally and he was good to go for about $1000 less than he was willing to spend (cost of a new pump and well).
