Mine has already had the update according to my friend that I bought it from. I really was looking to have it retrofitted with the new rod control system if possible. I am going to talk to my exmark/Toro dealership shop manager, he may be able to just readjust everything to give me full speed. I feel like there is way to much travel in the linkage, a gap between going forward and backward that allows for a jerky ride.
