A common problem I find with that is, If the soil is heavy and wet, those plugs take forever to disintegrate and the holes do not close well either... So let the lawn dry some and irrigate afterwards...
Now that I know that clay's texture(platelets) has nothing to do with water infiltration, percolation, or drainage
