Right now its a shovel and wheel barrow. I'm thinking once the sod roots that I can really run my lawn mower over them to work them in. If it roots good then I might throw a bunch of compost or peat and then drag something behind my mower.

you can let the bermuda it fill in first. you can add 1/4 easy and 1/2 is OK on bermuda. You stand less of a chance of having the top dressing move with rain.
