Fruit trees are a personal favorite of mine, in that you have shade and fruit, as they also become the focal point of a particular view within the garden landscape. This year, only the plants that get adequate shade are doing well... anything that grows outside the protection a shade tree seems to struggle no matter how much water I give it...
We got a little rain this morning and it is still cloudy now... so the landscaping looks good at the moment...
