I had limited space left in the yard and wanted to do a lot in that space and get a long run in there for the basketball hoop I mounted on the wall for my son since we live on a busy street and cant play in the front without me being paranoid that hes going to run in the street. It started of as a patio and the step down fire pit area was an after thought. The pits on the big side which makes the area look smaller. Its about 6 and half feet across. At the narrowist point from the wall to the pit its 3 feet and on the sides its about 6 or 7. Its pretty tall to compared to what I normally build but since it was my place I wanted to do something I haven't seen around here with the verticles.
