Love those trailers! Go with the 8.5 wide though. I used to have 7 wide open trailers but the trimmerracks were on the outside, not hanging over the deck. Forget the fuel costs though. I know that on at least 3 occasions i lost a trimmer or a blower because they weren't properly tied down. If i had enclosed trailers the trimmer would have just hit the floor not the road. Btw, letter the nose too.
