Finally a question on here that I can answer with 100 % certainty. I got my first diesel mower last year and my second one this year. If my gasoline mowers weren't a stander and a walk behind they would be outta here. My gasoline 60" 22 horse kohler will burn three to five gallons a day on my schedule. My 60" 18 horse or the 21 horse diesel mower will go two weeks on the same lawns on its five gallon tank. Thats with 2500+ hours on the diesels too. Now I can't speak on the fuel injection gas engines. I even bout a diesel truck after I seen how much I was saving in fuel with the mower.
