go with hotrod's suggestion. Even the franchises dont have a design software system in place that is any different than what this one does.
I wouldnt go crazy with it tho, I have had 1 request for a mock up since I have been doing this. A portfolio, samples, hand drawing and sometimes a step outside is all that I need...
