Thanks! I did keep the insert but it needs a cylinder and I have not had time to order one yet and its easier to change out of the truck. Theres no reveal because the homeowner built the wall originally and I had to splice the part I fixed back into the existing wall on the lower end so it would have been even harder to line up correctly. And the negative reveal on the top is because he wanted the top timbers to be "caps." The timbers are actually 6x8'' wide so they overhang about an inch on each side of the wall
