I found that to be the case when I was given a loaner while mine was down.

I had just gotten new hydros on mine then had an electrical issue and needed new head gaskets so it was down 2 days.
Shop gave me a loaner they were getting ready to sell and wanted a couple hours on it to make sure it was working right. Speed up kit was nice in the sense of being faster but sure did make the steering really unrefined.
