what makes you say that? I know there's not a lot scientifically quantitative data for all this, but I've read a lot of information on this forum, read reviews on various websites and on the whole echo seems to have fewer problems than stihl.

We've also experienced a change to gasohol which has had major consequences in the two cycle market. I believe from the majority of what I've read from a mass of users that echo is rock solid when it comes to overall reliability.
