Trailer reinforcement advise
Currently have a 7X16 feet aluminum open trailer, two 3500 pounds torque axles.
Looking to get bigger equipment but not sure if the trailer will hold. The trailer manufacture says 4500 pounds is the max loading weight which seems weird since the trailer only weight's in at 900 pounds empty. Looking to haul in the range of 6-10k pounds. Don't feel like buying another trailer either..
So the question is: Would it be cheaper to have a welder reinforce it with bigger alumi. or steel beams and stronger axles? Anyone ever did this before?
Thanks
