I watched one guy take after a bunch of stumps after a storm went through with a little backhoe that he thought would do the job... big mistake... he looked like a grasshopper out there bouncing up and down trying to rip up the roots... even doing one root at a time it was a pathertic site...

Be absolutely sure that the backhoe is the largest around and the operator has a brain... I can't imagine that the guy I saw did anything but loose money and probably took 10 years off the life of the machine...
Now that I know that clay's texture(platelets) has nothing to do with water infiltration, percolation, or drainage
,,, I wonder what does...
