I think the values of topsoil are really regional. I would agree that unless you can keep a screener working, either renting a screener or having someone custom screen for you would be the best. Only downside is the custom screener is going to want to be paid. If they charge you $1-$2 a yard to screen it. Thats 20K out of pocket. If there is a demand for topsoil and you can afford the cash layout, it might pay off nicely. Here screened topsoil is about $8.00 a yard. I think the main questions can only be answered by you which are value of the topsoil after its screened. How fast you can sell it and if you can layout the cash to get it processed are some of the questions to ask.
