I'm thinking that its annual ryegrass. It seems to have the pale color and coarse texture of annual ryegrass and the annual rye would be growing pretty tall at this time of year. Perennial ryegrass is usually finer textured and doesn't seem to grow as quickly in late winter.

It will die with the warmer temps after it sets seed. Or, you can take it out with just about any SU labeled for ryegrasses (Revolver, etc).
