Quarter turn Vs "more than just a quarter"
jim said a long time ago to me that: welding pipe ought to be done with the pipe soft as possible.
and i begin thinking about how pipe is softer in the summer than in winter,
and how friction creates heat.
anyway before I go on too long with all the theorys.
wouldnt a full turn (or perhaps even more) be better "welding" than solely a quarter turn?
I dont think a quarter turn is enough friction to bind the two pieces into one (or atleast is inferior to a full turn, IMHO.
