Since you live in an area that almost never rains, I can see how you would believe that. System is designed to keep the grass watered in a drought but the reality here is 50" or more on average a year, most of the time 2 years ago was an exception to that and then those areas needed water. You can argue the technical correct part of this and I'm not going to disagree that it's technically right, I'm just saying that this is a situation where technically right is practically wrong, and that's what the question I answered was asking about.
