The lime is a good idea, but that alone will not fix the problem...

I would do as I've laid out already... it is a strategy,,, not a quick fix...
as long as irrigation/fert are not reigned in,you will never provide habitat for grass,,, only moss...
Now that I know that clay's texture(platelets) has nothing to do with water infiltration, percolation, or drainage
,,, I wonder what does...
