As a general rule the East Coast of Florida is warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer than the Gulf Coast of Florida. Bahama Breezes and the Gulf Stream are major factors that cause this. Rainy season lasts longer on the East Coast and the soil has more SOM. Fact is Homestead Florida has some of the best soil and growing environment in the country.
We were actually cooler than that reading. We were in the mid 30's with very very light frost this morning. At 730 while at the gas station the trucks temp showed we had already warmed to 40. Tonight is suppose to be the last of it and warming from now on. I got a feeling that we are to head from this right into 95 degrees.
