Are you saying that MTD and Troybilt are making top shelf trimmers? Hell, I have a curved shaft McCulloch Eager Beaver trimmer from the early eighties that will still run. That doesn't make it a "good trimmer". Those MTD and TB 4-cycles were heavy clumsy homeowner models. Even the "Husky with the heavy Honda" seems great in comparison. Try a 25cc Redmax, or Husqvarna 326. There IS a whole other level of performance.
