I do for the purpose of billing. I bill monthly and my contract have escape for both sides but... if someone decides not to pay me for services already done then I have recourse with a contract with payment terms. Just putting the terms on the invoice does not hold up in court due to the client didn't sign it. So that is my main reason and I am straight up with clients that the contract is so I have guide lines for what to do on their property and so they understand what I am doing and what they are paying. Mine just require them to give me 7 days notice or I am charge for service. How much does it blow to show up at a property for another company to be doing the work? This stops most of this for me.
