The temperatures have been very fall like lately with highs in mid-70's during the day. I'm still probably about two weeks away from tilling and seeding. The area is partially covered with wood chips and I'm in the process of scraping them off and removing any remaining roots/vines. Once that's done I'm planning on renting a Barreto Tiller as the place is still a little rough. I should be able to cover the entire area using a few sprinklers. I don't think it's feasible for me to cover the area with straw, so I'll probably apply extra seed.

One question, a couple of people mentioned using a starter fertilizer as I till ... Should that be mixed in while I till or applied after the ground is loose? Thanks again!
