I added seed to an area that needed to be cleaned up and built up etc. about a month ago... its been hot, dry since then, but this past week I noticed some germination... that was my cue to start the sprinklers on a daily basis now, so I'm hoping that after this heat wave is over we get some natural rain...

The important thing about this episode is that grass seed will sit in the ground and be just fine until the time is right...
Now that I know that clay's texture(platelets) has nothing to do with water infiltration, percolation, or drainage
