The sticks come very close together. Center your left hand across the two sticks while resting your fingers on the speed bar. Pivot between the end of your thumb resting on the right stick and the base of your palm on the left stick to make left and right turns. Squeeze hand together with both sticks and speed bar to go full forward. Reverse is a little tricky to do without being jerky but with practice, its not too hard. Right hand is free to run controls or hold spray wand on hose reel and spot spray. Easy...
Its not like a zero turn mower. The sticks come much closer together and are more sensitive to movement.
