Some may, but I don't put much stock in what the salesmen have to say. I've heard and have been given plenty of wrong information from salesman.

Idk if Tennessee or Kentucky have a turf program? If not I use NC State and Clemson's turf websites a lot.Both give fert recommendations and schedules and info on pests and control as well. What type of grass are you dealing with? You'll want to base your program on how many pounds of N your grass requires per year and apply throughout the growing season.
