Its all about what you are used to. Your area has a lot more houses that are spaced a little apart. My cousins that own the big delivery company here run 550 trucks as they say even the Internationals they have are to big for most peoples driveways and people tend to freak out when they see a bigger truck backing in on their nice asphalt drives. Also put it in writing that the home owner is responsible after the tires leave the roadway.
Don't know what financial position you are in but personally I would find a clean stake body truck over the dump trailer idea. But a trailer will hold its value pretty well and maybe help you get to that next level. If you did the right trailer you could also use it to transport your skid too eliminating the need for a second trailer. What length would you need for your tractor set up you are looking at ?
