Every one of my mulch jobs are profitable, why do them if they aren't? I do most of my work in the Wexford/Allison Park/Gibsonia area and people have no problem paying $100 per yard installed. I think you'll find if you can give a quality product (lots of companies do mediocre work) that people will pay for it. I stay away from the "cheap" customers as they always want to haggle, I won't do a job if I can't do the best work possible. My name is on everything I do, it's all about the type of clientele you're servicing.
Of course I do a lot of estimates that don't pan out because they go with the cheaper guy, good for them. I just know that I can provide great service at a somewhat reasonable price.
