sealcoat squeege

We've been using normal 36" and 24" sealcoat brooms since this company started in 89. This year I was thinking of buying a squeege and try it out. I watched a few videos of people using them and it looks good. I planed on cutting in with broom 1st and then clean up with the squeege. How does everyone like them? They only good for smooth surfaces? When we do a driveway that has never been sealed before we would normally do it by hand so we can push the sealer into the pours and it looks neater, how would the outcome look with a squeege since that more likely glides? Thanks for any tips.
