Ummm WOW! to $93 per yard! MB compost and Benson Farm surf and turf. I get mine from a local nursery at less than a third of that price The MB (im told) is a product from a waste treatment facility and spreads like a dream even with a push spreader. The Benson Farm is a bit thicker and is consists of lobster shells, farm waste and bulk food waste. Price is a tad more. A bulk purchase of both is on the agenda for next year as I know the nursery is still making an pretty penny. 2-3 Yards will give a good skim coat to half an acre. From the results ive seen a skim coat is all that is needed. As far as grass types they have all responded well thus far. The push spreader I have used belongs to the nursery and they rent It for 15 per day ( if they charge), I think its about $400 for a new unit. Honestly I'm starting to wonder if anyone else is doing this. It seems like a cash cow but I wonder if Im missing something
