Let's talk guarantees on walls
I like to guarantee all my work like any other reputable contractor, but I am having a little problem coming up with a well worded guarantee/warranty for small retaining walls. I am referring to small landscape walls, not needing engineers approval.
My question for you guys is who is guaranteeing concrete block landscape walls, for how long, and how have you worded it for things like vehicles parking within ten feet of the top of the wall etc etc etc... Thanks for any advice, -Reuben

i guarantee my work for 5 years.
if vehicle loads, etc. are going to be an issue then the wall NEEDS to be engineered.

5 years on ANY hardscaping regardless of size. The technique doesn't change on small or large projects.

That is actually much better than the going guarantee in these parts. We are in a high earthquake zone though i guess so that might have something to do with it as well.
Do you guys just verbal your guaranties to your clients, or do you have a guarantee that you hand out when selling the job? Thanks for the replies.

Our guarantee is stated in our contract. we also have a clause which spells out some things that will void the warranty.
