Stihl question

I've been wondering for awhile and finally decided to ask.

On certain pieces of Stihl equipment with the 25CC engines, edgers, trimmers and polesaws, why the heck is it that you have to let it sit for as long as 3 mins to let it warm up? I've got an HT75 polesaw like this, its quite annoying to fire up, then go to use it and have it stall when I open the throttle. its like its too rich or lean and just doesnt want to rev up until its idled for awhile.

They are running lean....usually you can feather the choke on/off several times and they get going in less than 30 sec.
