Bye Bye Belt Drive...Hello Hydro!!!

I just got home and mowed my yard with my brand spanking new Exmark turftracer hp. I got the floating deck 17 hp kaw 48".
All I can say is WOW!!!!! I have always used belt drives, never even had ahold of a hydro. This rocks. No more getting stuck in a corner or down a hill. I love it I can finish so much faster and the cut is nicely finished. I should have done this 2 years ago. Thanks Exmark. If anyone lives near Knoxville I highly recommend Powell Power and Equipment. I have never been treated so well. Hey Toro dealer I wont be back .

Got any pictures of the new mower. If you don't mind saying, what did you pay for it? Welcome to Lawn Site.

I got the same mower and live in Knoxville, Powell Power treated me like **** the one and only time I will ever go... Go to Commercial Cutting Equip. in Maryville, sooooo much better to me, they are great and don't charge an arm and a leg like Powell Power..... I agree GREAT MOWER though....

ha glad someone else don't like the way they run things around there, their prices are high and they also think that just since I'm 19 I don't know **** about my mower or anything and weren't willing to help, I went to Comm. Cut, and ain't ever looked back...

I got my 01, 52"/17 kawi with Jungle wheels for $2500 cold hard cash, no tax.
It had only 200 hr+/- when I got in 2004. The machine has not changed much except different pumps but the lay out and material still the same, especially ECS. Great machine, but I won't pay like 5k+ for a wb, that is me.
Congrats though. Keep eye on hydro pump belt after 30-50 hrs, it might start chewing and snapping cause this is one of TTHP weakness. New model might have been upgraded with new idler spring, but you have to keep eye on. The rest is bullet proof.

i heard about the belt thing

I shopped a couple of dealers and prices were about $100 difference. I looked at some used mowers that had the snot beat out of them. No one had any leftover 04 or 05 models. With what I sold my belt drive for I came out pretty good and paid cash for it.
I really like it and I know my productivity will go up, still very happy with it. Gonna try in Feb to get a quick 36 so I can get in those gated backyards.
Positive cash flow been real good this year. Even though the crooked oil companies are screwing us.
