Getting Rid Of Clover?

My yard has great color and height. I get it treated once a month by True-Green Chemlawn. But it seems that I cannot get rid of the clover. It pops up everywhere. What can I do to get rid of it? Any help. This is in Louisville KY.

A friend used Gordon's Q-4 this season,he said it is excellent for clover.Confront is excellent, but no longer labeled for resi turf.Speedzone is effective , and a Three way with a surfactant is good.

I'm about 50 miles north of Louisville in southern Indiana. I have a lot of white clover in my yard that hasn't been treated in several years. I spot sprayed with 24d using 3oz/gal and got a good kill. I may have to go back later in the fall to get the rest.

Momentum to me is the best all around weed control that smokes clover.100%
Confront used to be on top until the new regs.
Three way at the recommended rate, at best 50-50 on clover.

escalade 2 also does a nice job, but regardless of what product you choose, a surfactant will make it work all that much better.

Many things will kill clover. Some better than others. Most of the weed controls mentioned earlier will do it.

Q-4 and Surge are PBI gordon products that will smoke clover. Any of the other will work fine too.

MY problem is this: You said Trugreen is treating your lawn. WHY ARENT THEY TAKING CARE OF THE CLOVER? Call them.its there problem.

Certian times of year clover can be tougher than others, but Call TRUGREEN. It s what you pay for. Just hope some kid that learned to spray weeds last week doesnt show up....

go back to old school and use an ester based herbicide like chaser or cool power, cost less then any of the amine (water based) herbicides on the market, just wait till the weather cools down to the mid-to upper 70's and the turf will be fine.
