I got a $75 Christmas gift once. I though it too much so I gave her a free snow removal.

When i had a mowing business years ago with my father, we had about 70 Italian customers, each one would get us a bottle of wine for Christmas, when we got a bottle we would exchange it with the next customer so every one was happy, they all got presents and it cost us nothing

I under bid a job big time and the homeowner knew it. I was kicking myself the entire time my guys were on the job. I charged the guy $65 and he gave me $125. He said for $65 buck he was expecting a half job but when he seen the finshed product he had to pay what he felt the job was worth.

I've got a few venison steaks and sausages - one time he even invited me in for a bowl of venison stew mmmmm tasty. Of course there's the cookies and milk, gatorades, pops, bottled water, etc. $10 or 20 here and there. But I'd take the steaks over the cash anyday.

Edit - I forgot about something. Quite possibly the biggest "tip" I've ever gotten. However, it wasn't really a tip. One of my mowing clients had this 1979 tow behind camper thing which had been sitting in his back yard for 10 years. He wanted it GONE and offered it to me. Well I knew it would be worth some dough on Ebay so I pumped up the tires and pulled it away. Got $900 on Ebay!
