Clutch Grinding

My 2008 FasTtrack Superduty 60's clutch is grinding. When I pull the switch to engage the blades the blades won't engage, then when I push the switch to the dis-engaged position the clutch area begins to grind loudly.

Obviously we have a warranty and will get a hold of the dealer, but do you have any idea what the problem is? Is this common?

Weird...
How many hours are on the mower?
Sounds like the clutch plate broke in side the clutch.

I only have about 20 hours on the mower. Twice today when I tried to engage the blades it was really slow in getting the blades going. Then on the third time it didn't engage at all and when I went to put the switch in the dis-engage position it did the grinding. I've tried it twice since the grinding started and it's the same...no engagement and then grinding.

Sounds like the internal clutch plate may have come loose, get it in to the dealer asap and they will get it figured out and fixed.
