mini fasttrack or sport?

I was looking at new sport at my dealer and he had a mini fasttrack 42" last years model he said he would sell me for his cost $3268.00 is this a better mower than the sport nad if so how much better?

It is a better unit.
Heavier frame and deck and depending on the engine thats on it, better engine.
Better warranty also, 3 years compared to the Sport at 2 years.
Both units are great units and also have the same exact drive system.
If the $$ are in your budget I would go for it.

42 SD vs 42 mini

When comparing the 42 mini to the 42 SD...... I noticed the mini is a longer frame with the motor mounted lower. Is there an advantage to the shorter frame on the SD?

Would a 42 SD be over kill for a home owner on just under an acre?

The difference is due to frame design and tire size.
In a 42" unit you wont notice a advantage of one over the other, other than the larger tired SD will ride smoother.
The SD is also a heavier duty unit, it uses a better engine and hydro system.
The SD wouldn't be overkill in my opinion.
